I’ve spent the last six weeks here in Pennsylvania and New Jersey raising financial support and finding partners as I head into this next season with Adventures in Missions. You’ve all BLOWN ME AWAY with your kindness and generosity! We’ve been able to talk vision for ministry, why I deeply believe God wired our brains to respond to story, my hope for the transformation of the American church, and more, but one question keeps coming up: “But like, on a day to day basis, what are you actually going to DO?” Well, here you go:

1. International base stories:

I’ll visit three bases per year for the purpose of translating their ministry to a narrative that can be shared with a generation that needs to understand how they are making a difference and building the kingdom. I’ll work with development/ marketing to generate a flow of stories from the field showing that God is alive and active and showing that there is a life of faith and abundance waiting for them, connecting these stories to the overall story of God activating his global church. Current bases are in: Guatemala, South Asia, Nicaragua, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Thailand, Eswatini, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and more.

2. Staff stories:

I’ll work with staff to develop a heart for and capacity to share stories. I’ll do this by sharing a constant flow of how the ministry is making an impact, coming alongside our director of support raising to train staff in how to share their stories, and helping build an online training capacity that gives quick, iterative feedback.

3. Activation stories:

I’ll help build networks of disciplers and coaches in America and internationally for the purpose of training them in sharing their stories of how they’re living out the Kingdom post-field.

4. Discipleship & Journeying stories:

I’ll word this exactly how Adventures did for me: “Recruit small teams of writers, videographers and reporters to travel with you. Show them how to live a lifestyle of personal blogging/vlogging and discipling. Live 2 Timothy 2:2, asking them to do as you’ve done. Work alongside the WR Storytelling Manager when synergies exist to build a storytelling movement.”

5. Writing for Adventures:

Serve one of the written voices for Adventures, helping effectively communicate the vision, mission and ministry.

So there you have it! I can’t wait to get started.

In case you missed it, today’s a big financial deadline day. I’m still looking for $1,170 in monthly financial partners in order to do this work with Adventures in Missions. No monthly commitment is too small! If you’d like to join the partnership team, there’s a link on the left that says DONATE!

If you’re not able to partner financially at this time but would like to help with the move, hear more about ways you can serve overseas, or have another idea in mind, please let me know!
