As we are about to begin our 10th month of the Race, the above is probably
(no, definitely) the most popular question I hear.

So… what’s the answer?
What things come next after
traveling the world for a year?

The answer?

As we all begin to end our Race, we all have different plans.
We’ve all felt different callings.

Some of my friends have begun the process of starting an
organization that ministers to the hearts of men who
seek to find their satisfaction in the Red Light Districts.

Some of my married friends have realized their part in bringing
the Kingdom is having and adopting children, raising up a new
generation of Jesus followers.

Some want to open cupcake shops and love on the regulars.

The W Squad will be spread all over the States, all over the world,
bringing Kingdom in every area imaginable.

So where have I been called?
What has God done in my life these past 9 months?

Let me just tell you, I’m excited about it.
I think God’s in the middle of writing a wonderful story.
A story of redeeming the lost places.
And bringing beauty from ashes.

So, I have little idea of where I will end up long term.
So many things can change.
But where has God called me for the first year back?
An orphanage on some lonely island?
The streets of some poverty stricken city?
The answer may surprise you.
(Because to be honest, the answer surprised me.)

Because the answer is…

Part 2, Coming Soon.

  1. I heard loud “WHOOPIE’s” coming from Kiwi Loop, along with a certain Snickers barking uncontrollably!!! 🙂

    Many hugs await you!!!

  2. This makes me sooooooooooooooo happy!!!!!!! I can’t wait to follow you as you go where the Lord has called you: home. Much love!

  3. oh steph,
you could probably hear my shriek of delight across the world upon reading that some of your friends are beginning an organization to minister to the men who frequent the red light districts. once these men gain an understanding of the respect they can have for themselves, the females in their lives, and the wonderful God Who loves them all, many things will happen on a big scale.
all the experiences you have been through will make for a wonderful book attributing glory to the Father. perhaps you might write it while you are HOME????? : )
looking forward to your return while continuing in prayer for the remainder of the race.
    love and hugs

  4. Hi Stephanie, Time has flown and you and the team have accomplished so much for the Lord, and you will see it to the end. Some day in heaven someone will come up to you and say thank you for sharing Christ with me in Peru, Bolivia,Ecuador,E.Europe,S. Africa, Mozambique,Swaziland,Thailand,Cambodia or Vietnam. And God will say “Well done, My faithful servant. Then you will know it was worth it all. Continuing to lift you and the team to Him daily. Love You, Peg

  5. Steph,

Well. you’ll be home soon and this year has flown…you will have such a different perspective because of where you have been and what you have experienced, good and bad. You’ve experienced joy and having your heart wrenched out, emotional highs and lows, but Jesus has been and will be the same, a stabilizer, and anchor…through it all you have seen and known his love and assurance. When you come home you will be very different and for a while home will seem sureal! Let God show you where he wants to use/send you. You may minister locally or in a distant place. BUT,,he WILL use you. He has strengthened you in ways you do not even realize now…is’nt it wonderful to know he has a plan for you and you can always depend on him. Whoa, it really lifts the burden. It’s not dependant on us, but him! I will continue to pray for you and the others. You Go girl!!!!
    Love, Sue Mac

  6. How exciting! Can’t wait to hear where the Lord is calling you. Know that I will continue to pray you through all He’s doing through you and in you.

    Be blessed,
    Lisa
