Almost every single time I hear that
someone is going to the beach on a non-summer not too hot day or at night,
whether I'm at college, at home, or The World Race, I purposefully do not pack
a towel to try to hold myself accountable to not go in the water. But what can
I say, I'm a beach girl, and it never works :)

So, when we decided to check out what the
beach looked like after church yesterday, I was fully prepared to sit on the
sand under a palm tree and take a few pictures.

Then someone mentioned that it would cost
20 Soles (about $7) to go surfing...

Here are pictures. Though it's not
documented, I did eventually get up on the board :)

That night we had a time of worship and
campfire on the roof.

Perhaps one of my favorite days of my
life :)

ย

"She feels so alive when she wakes
up

And takes up her surfboard

Heads out, out to the seashore

From the world in where she lives

She's got no fear or worries at all right
there

Just the smell of saltwater that's in her
hair

And the sunrise

She's walking on water."
