Almost every single time I hear that
someone is going to the beach on a non-summer not too hot day or at night,
whether I’m at college, at home, or The World Race, I purposefully do not pack
a towel to try to hold myself accountable to not go in the water. But what can
I say, I’m a beach girl, and it never works 🙂
So, when we decided to check out what the
beach looked like after church yesterday, I was fully prepared to sit on the
sand under a palm tree and take a few pictures.
Then someone mentioned that it would cost
20 Soles (about $7) to go surfing…
Here are pictures. Though it’s not
documented, I did eventually get up on the board 🙂
That night we had a time of worship and
campfire on the roof.
Perhaps one of my favorite days of my
life 🙂
“She feels so alive when she wakes
up
And takes up her surfboard
Heads out, out to the seashore
From the world in where she lives
She’s got no fear or worries at all right
there
Just the smell of saltwater that’s in her
hair
And the sunrise
She’s walking on water.”
I saw you working to get up in the board. It took practice and it took trust. You needed to trust the board would hold you. Like Peter you had to take a step of faith and a lot of trust to walk on water. Walking on water….and to think he said we would do far greater things then this. Go walk on the water this year girl. Bring His Glory, be His kingdom.
Steph,
Are you going to be able to come home to the jersey shore after this???
Praying for you and your team!!
Love in Christ!
