WORLD RACE TRAINING CAMP
Part 2 : The Justice League (our team name)

I really cannot stress enough the level to which these people
are an answer to a year-long prayer in my life. We are acutely
aware of the role Yahweh has played in putting this team
together, knitting us together before we were even formed (to
steal a little imagery from a pretty cool guy named David.)
These are the children of God that I will be spending my World
Race journey with. Teams may change throughout the race,
but this is my new family. Our united heart for the nations, a desire for honest, encouraging, and intentional community, and our passion to see God glorified above all else are ingredients in the recipe that God is cooking up to bring hope to the nations ๐Ÿ™‚

We chose the name The Justice League, because we all have
a heart to see injustice crushed in the name of Jesus – to help
widows and orphans in their distress, to bring hope to the lost,
to set free the captives, and to break every yoke, all to the glory
of God. We also like to have a good time, so stealing (again) from
DC Comics, we came up with this name.

So, let me introduce you to THE JUSTICE LEAGUE.

L to R: Kyle Dennard, Alysa Halteman, Kim Labat, Kelly
Mulderig, Stephanie Bernotas, Sarah Cheek, and Beau Cheek.

After some significant facebook stalking, I found pictures of each
of them to post, and want to share with you a little about my
family that I already love so much.

TEAM LEADER: Kyle Dennard

Kyle is a man of God who seeks to glorify the Lord in all he does
and make His name famous. He is extremely considerate of other people’s opinions and ideas, sincerely encouraging, and kind of
a goofball at times, all of which make him an incredible leader
and there’s a unanimous team excitement about following Kyle
as he follows God’s leading. Check out his blog at:

Alysa Halteman

Alysa is a woman of God, chiefly concerned with bringing the
light of the gospel to the lost and hurting, and accurately
representing God’s love through words and actions. She is
passionate about the Word of God, full of energy, and an
example of joy to all of us. She also raised a squirrel once, so
she’s pretty much awesome ๐Ÿ™‚ Check out her blog at:

Kim Labat

Kim is an incredible girl who is willing to follow where the Lord
leads, no matter where that takes her. She is strong, lovely, and
honest. Her sense of loyalty first to her Lord and then to those
around her is extremely evident. This girl’s pretty much
incredible. Definitely check out her blog at:

Kelly Mulderig

Kelly is a sweetheart, pure and simple. She has a loving and
encouraging spirit that will not only bring hope and life to our
team, but to those who are lost and hurting in this world. She
speaks truth in love, desiring for us all to know wholeness in
the Lord. Check out her blog at:

Beau & Sarah Cheek

I’ve decided this couple is a power couple. We as a team all agree
that we are SO blessed to have them both on our squad. They
have basically “invited us into their marriage” and we look forward
to learning from them. These two love the Lord and each other
with all their hearts, and are an incredible blessing.

Beau is the strong protector of our team. He loves worshipping
the Lord, loves his wife, and is going to remind our hearts
throughout the year of a tender love for the lost. He’s so great!
it is extremely evident that Beau knows the Lord and His love
because He portrays that love of the gospel to his wife Sarah.
It’s so so so cool to see ๐Ÿ™‚ He pretty much rocks.

Sarah is one of the most passionate, funny, life-giving prayer
warriors I have ever met. She does not back down on truth, seeks
to live in life and the power of the Holy Spirit, and is chiefly
concerned with God’s glory and her marriage to Him, and then
making much of her husband and her marriage to him, and then
using the knowledge of the love she’s experienced to bring that
love to the nations. Trust me, this is a woman you want praying
for you ๐Ÿ™‚ Check out their blog at:
